Getting back together in Oxford
12th November 2022 by OFC Press Team
Our 77th conference, “Farming a New Future” (4 to 6 January 2023), will see over 650 delegates return to Oxford City Centre as well as hundreds more online, delivering OFC’s very first hybrid offering.
Recognising how long it has been since we have been allowed to come together at Oxford, we have left more time for networking and social events than in previous years.
For those who can be there on Wednesday evening there will be the Chair’s Welcome Reception at The Oxford University Museum of Natural History, and on Thursday the Post-Debate Supper at Christ Church college will be on offer as usual.
If these don’t suit, we hope individuals will take the time to meet friends and colleagues in pubs and venues around the city.
Around the conference hall, OFC partners will be offering breakfast, lunch and teatime sessions on a wide variety of topics, enriching the experience at OFC and offering space to engage away from the main delegate crowd.
We all know the challenge of seeing so many people at one event, so we have programmed longer breaks between sessions, giving everyone the space to meet as many people as possible, at their own pace, during their time in Oxford.
We also believe it is the conversations that happen after the presentations, in the queue for lunch and at social events, that spark new partnerships, ideas for the future and friendships that last a lifetime.
There will be plenty to discuss and debate following the headline conference sessions, as we step into the challenge of farming a new future, but equally as important is taking the time to catch up.
We cannot wait for you to join us.
